WE TEMPERAMENT AND APTITUDE TEST OUR DOGS AND PUPPIES:
We follow the principles of Puppy Culture, ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation), ESI (Early Scent Introduction) and follow an advanced puppy curriculum that includes aptitude and temperament testing by 7-8 weeks of age.

Our dogs, adults and puppies alike, are very well socialized with other dogs, children, seniors and small pets.
WE EXTENSIVELY HEALTH TEST:
Full O.F.A. (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) health testing, specific to the Collie and Poodle breed club requirements is ethically and morally mandatory.
Essential and Supplemental DNA panels are also completed through PawPrints and/or Canine Health Check.
Health testing ensures we are actively improving health through the generations by breeding OUT common health problems in these breeds, such as C.E.A. (Collie Eye Anomaly), etc…
LIFELONG HEALTH GUARANTEE:
Our LIFELONG health guarantee is provided because we stand behind our dogs. We know they are in the best health possible prior to leaving us, and are genetically sound.
We have put our hearts and souls into producing top quality, well bred dogs for our families, and for our namesake.
BREEDING WITH INTENTION AND PURPOSE:
Along with comprehensive health testing and standing behind our lifelong health guarantee, we plan for the best pairings for health and temperament.

We ONLY breed when a wait list is established.
CO-OWNERSHIP:
We offer an exclusive and wonderful co-ownership arrangement to handlers who are interested in improving the breed standards, and who are experienced with handling and titling.

The dogs who we place in co-own homes are sold on a 50/50 ownership contract and are placed as show prospects. All health testing and other fees are also split 50/50.
Co-owners are an integral part of the Skyridge journey and experience!
WANT TO BECOME A CAREGIVER HOME?:
We offer a high value, quality caregiver arrangement to those who can offer the best home to our dogs.
The caregiver raises, cares for and allows Skyridge access as needed, to the dog they are caring for as part of our prospective show/breeding program for that dog.
Caregivers are an integral part of our journey and are intention is that these arrangements become permanent. Therefor, our dogs are in their forever homes from the beginning.
LIFELONG BREEDER SUPPORT:
Everything from training, grooming, health and wellness, nutrition, safety, etc… We are always here to answer any questions you may have to ensure the best possible outcome for your new family dynamic with your puppy/dog.
We want to be involved as much as possible in your journey and are happy to follow the care and upbringing of our beloved dogs!
FIRST RIGHT BUY BACK POLICY:
Since we brought these amazing dogs into the world, we feel responsible for them during their entire lives. It is due to extenuating circumstances which occur in owners’ lives, that we have implemented a critical step in dog ownership called a “First Right Buy Back Policy”. This means we will buy your dog back from you.
This policy is involved, and is outlined in every contract we sign together to ensure Skyridge dogs stay OUT of the shelter system. A good breeder will always take back their dogs!
WORKING VS. SHOW QUALITY DOGS:
Due to their incredible temperaments and training, many of our dogs graduate into Service Dog and Therapy Dog roles, and support disabilities in the lives of their beloved owners.

In addition to pet and companion homes, our dogs are intentionally bred for show (conformation), career and working environments (rally, obedience, barn hunt, herding, etc…).
